Browsing and Searching Titles:
Customers have the ability to search our database over 300,000 titles. We offer hundreds of publishers, all accessible through our “Quick Search” and “Advanced Search” features on the left side of the page.
While browsing our "Recommended Book Lists" or searching for titles, you will find that we have tagged the books with icons to improve your searches. We have also added these items to our "Advanced Search" feature. The following icons highlight favorably reviewed titles, inventory titles, award winners, and LAUSD reviewed titles:

Mrs. Nelson’s has also built a large number of recommended book lists based on California State Recommended lists, curriculum requirements, and popular requests. These lists can be found by clicking the “Recommended Lists” page on our website.
Inventory Selections:
Our Book Fair Inventory Selections are refreshed twice a year for our Spring and Fall seasons. About 30% of our inventory is switched out for new releases, recent award winners, new bestsellers, and emerging trends. Our inventory can be found by viewing the “Fall 2009 Selections” link and then clicking into one of the categories. You can also use our "Advanced Search" feature to search within our inventory using specific criteria. All the titles in our Book Fair Inventory have the following icon next to the book:
Prebinding:
Mrs. Nelson's has the ability to offer binding services on nearly any paperback and hardcover book in print. To select a our prebound option, simply use the drop-down menu when viewing the book details. We offer two types of bindings, depending on your needs. "Mrs. Nelson's Prebound" is offered on nearly all of our Book Fair inventory titles as well as thousands of bestsellers, award winners, and classics. For books we don't normally stock, we charge an additional $5.00 set-up fee for processing the books. In order to offer our prebinding services on books we don't normally stock, we have created our "Valuebind" option which maintains the high quality of our standard prebinding while avoiding the set-up costs.
Managing Lists:
Our website allows users to search and add titles to a personal book list. An infinite number of lists can be generated and monitored through the “Manage Lists” page. To view and edit your lists, simply click the link on the left side of the page under "User Tools." You can create a new list, review and edit the contents of exisiting lists, check for duplicate titles, merge one list into another list, and submit a list for a quote.
With our “Export List” feature on the "Manage Lists" page, users can export their personal lists into an Excel or PDF format. This Excel file can be sorted and manipulated by Title, Author, Publisher, Publishing Date, Binding Type, Quantity, Dewey Number, AR Level, Price, and whether it is in our Inventory. By exporting a list, a customer can share their list with another customer via email. When necessary, Mrs. Nelson’s staff can copy a customer’s list and post it into another customer’s account.
Receiving a Quote:
Customers can submit a list for a quote through the "Manage Lists" page by clicking the desired list and then clicking "Request Quote." You will then have the ability to request library cataloging and processing, Kapco covers, and other options. An automatic email will be sent to you with your quote request details and a PDF of your list. Mrs. Nelson's staff will contact you with a quote within 2-3 days.
